Earthquakes

In the classroom when an earthquake comes we have to drop cover and hold under the table.

When you are outside you put your hands around your head and you drop cover and hold.

Don't forget wherever you are during an earthquake

Slime

Children making slime
Sativalee, Fusi and Gene
Slime is made of lux soap flakes and hot water. The slime looks like gooey things. Slime feels slimey and smooth and it looks like bubble gum. Slime can be cold or hot. Slime  can be warm. Slime can be soft.  Slime looks like a spider web. Slime on your hands looks like ducks feet.

Blogging on the iPads

Today we used the iPads to look at the comments people have left on our blog.

We answered some of the questions people asked us and created this new post.

We also looked at the blogs of our quadblogging partners in England and Australia.

Art Exhibition Continued...

We have been continuing to work on our art exhibition piece.

We stuck down flax and our koru patterns before using the rollers to paint over our collaged card.

Then we stuck the cardboard stencils we made on top of the black paint.
Next we sponge painted over the black paint with metallic colours. Some of us chose to use one or two different colours.

After they have dried we will pull the stencils and flax off to reveal what is underneath. We will frame them with black paper so they are ready to display with all the other classes art work.

Check back soon to see the final masterpiece!
